Final Fantasy XIV / Re: FFXIV General discussion topic

People will always complain about something in FFXIV. To be honest whenever you enter Eureka all you can hear is people complaining, if only we could make use of all the salt thrown around there :P

Haven't seen the exact details for Blue mage yet so I can't really say what to think about it. Seems like they did what people wanted from the job, the only question I have is what they do with the lvl cap for blue mage. Starting off at 50 with this patch seems logical from a balance perspective, but as long as we can't do relevant content with the job its kinda useless.

Head points from the opening of the Las Vegas Fan Festival.

Next expansion going to be called Shadowbringers (release early summer).
- The next expansion will bring us the fight against Garlean.
- Seems story wise that the Scions of the seventh dawn will be scattered and the warrior of light will need to turn into the warrior of darkness.

- Seems we'll be getting a Trust system to do content with certain NPC's (which NPC's are available isn't said)
- Also seems we'll be getting a "New Game+" to redo old expansions with our current level?

- Important notice: Windows 32-bit systems won't be supported anymore upon the release of the expansion.

- First new Beast tribe will be Nu Muo
- New playable race. (He won't tell us which one, but he clearly shows a Bugs Bunny on the back of his shirt.) so most likely will be Viera.
- Battle system rework (Job classes will be reworked and TP will be replaced by MP)

- New jobs with Blue mage being the first
- Blue mage will be released on Patch 4.5 (Current max lvl will be 50) and skills will need to be learned from monsters, so simply leveling up won't give you new skills.
- Blue mages max level will increase with patches (the way he talked about it probably means you won't be able to reach lvl 80 on the release of the expansion).

We can say almost for sure say that the last Sigmascape battle would indeed be against Omega prime. But Omega as a robot like entity only appeared in the original FFV and FFXII (believe it also appeared as a cameo supper boss in some remakes later on).

In FFVII, FFVIII and FX we did get an Omega, but the design was completely different from the robot like FFV version (on which our FFXIV version is based).

Then again I can remember Yoshi saying something about the possibility of a patch 4.6 and 4.7. Not sure where I picked that one up though, but if that's indeed true we would have a 4th Sigmascape as well.

4.1 not really any big changes. The odd numbers always contain a new dungeon, trial and 24-man raid (in short). The bigger update will be 4.2 which will give the new raid tier, more dungeons and the start of the relic quest.

I have an 8 to 5 Job so what do you think :P

Next patch they will apperently increase all the plots. Don't need one in Shirogane, but trading our house for a mansion somehwere would be fun ;)

FFXIV is eating up most of my time, so I'm only just crossing the Ozmone plain.
Taking it nice and slow I guess :P

The wait is over, for any of you guys wanting to farm the many treasures of the Cerobi Steppe don't wait any longer and follow the instructions from the guide below.

Cerobi Steppe Chest RNG Manipulation Guide

Our good friend FF12Grandmaster has been busy crunching all the numbers so we can not only get a 100% guaranteed drop from any chest, but also make the chest itself spawn with a 100% certainty.

Moved all the files we are hosting on fftogether to a separate package named data.fftogether. This topic was so populair that for the first time since I've set up this forum we got a message that we've passed the 75% bandwidth mark :o

All links from the first post have been updated, but any old external link pointing directly to the files would have become invalid at this point.

You can now pick up 2 jobs with each character so its possible to pick up all the jobs (or simply go white mage on all of them to increase survivability :P)

You've defeated the hardest boss in the game. The rooftop :P

Seriously though it only took you 2 hours :o I've done a single attempt (tried a good hour or so), but that last climb is just so long and a single mistake means you basically have to do the entire thing over :-\

Also they turned our favorite Garlean punch bag into a dungeon boss ;D

Lol :D at the end the true hero decides to show his face as well to come and finish a task that should have been done long long ago >_>

Considering we are still here long after the place died must say something about the friendships this place helpt to build :D

In terms of bringing it back alive I have a hard head seeing it happen to be honest. The place would have never existed where it not for the downfall of Eruyt Village. All I did was set up a new place, the rest was mostly you guys turning it into som of the best years I've had ;)
Right now its mainly online for archive purpose as it would be a shame to lose all the stuff posted here 8)
