FFTogethers Summer Marathon (2011)

Well sadly I've failed to organise a winter marathon meaning we had to skip it, but summer is on the way and with enough free time at hand I'm not going to let that one fail. Last year me, Sixty and some friends filled in a good 50 hours and since we had so much fun we're even going to see if we can manage 3 full days this year. Of course we'll hope that as many people as possible will help us out extending that time to the max

Marathon date:
Around the first Weekend of August (6th & 7th). Precise starting date & time will follow.

I had fun last year, even though practically everybody ditched my section, and i can take part again depending on when my parents go on holiday. I get to stay at home this time meaning i should be able to do any time section if i'm home alone at that time.

I tried to watch, but after 50 hours of little sleep I only had two options left:
1) Taking an unhealthy amount of caffeine to stay awake.
2) Taking a long nap

But I can't, my position kinda requires me to let them know in advance when I want to have a day off

True, but our main Q is where are we gonna do the marathon. I am not sure if i live with my parents when its summer. At least if everything goes as planned.

I can rush through FFX within 24 hours. If I prepare enough I should be able to do it within 20 hours as well. FFX-2 is a different story though, as I haven't played that one enough to really say how long it would take


Sixty I don't see a problem there, if you don't live with your parents any more then you don't have to find a time frame in which you don't bother them

Yeah but then i have 2 other people who i can bother. Except for 1 of them who probably wants to help again.

i think my usual runs are 20-40 hours including when im getting celestial weapons and if im using standard i could probaly finish it faster

For that you'll have to check ustream as that's probably what we are going to use.

Unlike the previous years, I probably won't join in on the streaming because, I don't think it's worth my time to be honest. My internet has gotten progressively worse over the years, so that's been another minus.

i'll try again for this one, but i'm still flipfloping on if i'm gonna take a summer class or not, so i don't really know how long my summer break will be

Last year we didn't have any.


Also how about trying to get a theme together this year. Me and sixty can quite easily to both Kingdom Hearts I & II in a single run. And if Jacob is available to do Birth By Sleep we already have half the games covered.

I also have the remake of Chain of Memories here, should nobody be able to cover that game. Though unfortunately I'm not really good in that game
