a random question about PS3 backwards compatability
« on: January 05, 2011, 01:19:41 AM »
i know that the newer PS3s (mine included) are not backwards compatible, so my question is, why is there still the option to make a digital PS2 memory card on my PS3? am i missing something?

There are some PS 2 titles that you may be able to play from a disk. Others are downloads from PSN. Either way, you have to create a virtual memory card on your PS 3 for any older titles.

hmm, i didn't know PSN had PS2 games, thought it was just PS1, i should see what they have, seems odd that only some PS2 discs would work

thanks ;D

it's still useful to backup your saves.
