I had this problem a bit too, and I'm not sure how I fixed it, but I know that when it couldn't notice ustream, it wouldn't notice anything, not even studio, the actual program.

the software by Ustresm? Whats that?

Also, I have been told that it will not be detected unless I have the wires (3 rca y-adaptors, and a rca cable). Is that true? If so, I will come back after I get them.

Well it depends what you are trying to stream. If you want to stream your computer screen, you will need WebCamMaxx if you have a PC or CamTwist for Mac.

If you are wanting to stream from a gaming machine, and are using a Dazzle, you need the software and drivers for that. Oftentimes the device you buy doesn't have the latest edition of the drivers/software and you have to download it from a website.

It's a screen capture program.

Check out the Help section and forums on ustream. The problem with trying to help anybody with a Dazzle is that they have a myriad of problems and it's impossible to know which one is affecting you. I would phone the company if all else fails.

Or you know. Use Justin.tv which has better quality detects capture cards better...and is over-all just a better site.

Changing site has nothing to do with getting them to accept dazzle For sound. It's just a pain in the rear end altogether, like said get the newest drivers and that sometimes gets it.

Most of the time you have to get extra hardware so it picks up the sound but i'm not to fussed, A good microphone is all you need and you can do commentary to.

and is over-all just a better site.

Better depends on what you want,

Want HD streaming, sure go for justin.tv but expect huge bandwidth use.

For lots less bandwidth use ustream is the way to go and is my personal favourite.

You can stream the HD PVR on Justin but not ustream. Since Ustream doesn't take HD, it will not take a HD Capture Device but Justin should do without much problems.

SCFH DSF is the best screen streaming program. It's free and simple and easy to work.

And justin.tv is better, this is fact because it's easier to use and doesn't *Bleep* up certain capture cards...like my Pinnacle Movie Box *IT DISPLAYS IT UPSIDE DOWN WTF?*
