Final Fantasy XIV's producer Naoki Yoshida and his team have finally revealed the trailer for Final Fantasy XIV's next patch, Patch 3.1 - As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness.


The patch will feature:

  • New Main Scenario Quests
  • Two New Dungeons
    • Saint Mocianne's Arboretum
    • Pharos Sirius (Hard)
  • 24-Man Raid: The Void Ark
  • The Minstrel's Ballad: Thordan's Reign
  • Exploratory Airship Missions
  • New Gold Saucer Mini-Game: Lord of Verminion
  • New Beast Tribe Quests
  • New Hairstyles

Detailed patch notes will be revealed when the patch is released on November 10th.

Also that trailer looks promising, lets find out what this whole "Warrior of Darkness" stuff is going to be :P

Also they seem to be holding an FFXI event on the 11th of November ;)

I updated the post with the correct release date. There's loads of news available about the patch, but I decided to keep the list short since I don't have time to write all the details.

Still a bit disappointed about only two new dungeons and no new primals (I wanted another Ex Primal), but I can't blame them since they'll give us a new mini-game, airship missions and another fight with Thordan. The "Warrior of Darkness" stuff could mean that we have some secret ties to the Ascians or maybe an alter ego who is on the Ascians' side. The trailer is also a bit too spoilerific near the end.
