The 3-Dimensional Era / Stages you hate fighting in
« on: May 05, 2010, 12:35:53 AM »
Pandemonium is too narrow and has limiting movement. Although wall rush isn't a problem here, the chase is. The walls cover the camera, and yes, it sucks. Also, the CV has spikes on the ground from time to time, and getting hit by them causes you to lose bravery.

What stages do you hate fighting in? The ? versions of the stage count as well.

Obviously, if you haven't gotten to the Final Boss in this game; I do not recommend opening any of the spoiler tags in this topic.

Final Fantasy XIII / FFXIII Gameplay: Simple or Complex?
« on: May 02, 2010, 11:12:29 PM »
This Final Fantasy's gameplay clearly tries to be deep but accessible. My question is which does it do better? Is it more strategic than previous games in the Final Fantasy series? Or is it "dumbed" down so anyone can play it?

My thoughts on the complex: Elemental weakness are important for all enemies, some battles almost cannot be won without buffs or debuffs, and the stagger system encourages you to sacrifice attack power in order to concentrate on building that bar. It's not straight up attack, attack, attack.

My thoughts on the simple: However, all that gameplay ever really boils down to is picking which jobs your characters will fill... and hitting auto-battle. If your pre-fight selections are good and you can switch between job combinations as needed, then you can beat most any thing.

I would probably say that, for me, this game is more simplistic than previous games. Yes, your setup has to be thought through... but that requires what? A game guide and about ten seconds of situation planning? It all boils down to hitting auto-battle in the end. Without the Auto-Battle feature, I would have said that FFXIII's battle system would have been way more complex, unfortunately it's there. Even without hitting the auto-battle, you have a lack of choices to make. What do the people of FFTogether think?

Please: No unnecessary bashing and obviously, give a reason why you think it's either simple or complex.

The 3-Dimensional Era / Favorite/Least Favorite Character - Chaos
« on: May 01, 2010, 11:56:26 PM »
Needless to say, this is similar to the Cosmos topic. But just in case you don't read one or the other: Who is your (Least) Favorite Character on the Chaos side in Dissidia? Give a description of why you like or don't like this character. Please don't go into unnecessary bashing when it comes to giving a description of who you don't like.

Favorite: Exdeath. Sure he's slow, but he is a excellent blocker and works very well.
Least: Sephiroth. His ex mode abilities are very hard to hit with, and well... honestly, he's overrated. ><

Be sure to check out the Cosmos thread too!

The 3-Dimensional Era / Favorite/Least Favorite Character - Cosmos

Favorite: Shantotto. She has devastating magics, laughs manically (is she trying to be a woman version of Kefka?) and destroys everything that faces her.

Least: Cloud. You can see most of his attacks coming a far away. Needless to say, he is a very easy opponent to face.

Will also create a Favorite Character - Chaos thread as well.

Square Enix has talked about Final Fantasy XIII-2, but what do you guys think? Would you really like to see a spinoff of this game? Prequel or Sequel doesn't matter.

Bugs & Suggestions / User Submitted Reviews "Section?"
« on: December 04, 2009, 04:53:46 AM »
Hey. I was wondering if there could be a User Submitted Reviews section on the site. Since it's purely Final Fantasy, I think it's good for people to express their opinion on them/their favorite. (Maybe also add a RPG section since this site is also RPG based). I don't have a review but it's just an idea. I completely understand if this isn't accepted. Just wanted to run this over. See ya!  :)

« on: September 28, 2009, 01:42:39 AM »
Not sure if there was ever a topic like this, but if there was, feel free to merge them. Not going to make them into a poll because I may miss some...

So what languages can everyone speak? I can speak complete english of course, and a bit of spanish, still learning it. After that, I'm planning on learning French or Japanese in college.

Meet and Greet / Hello there!
« on: September 04, 2009, 06:00:03 AM »
Hey everyone! I came here from Grand Master's guide on Neoseeker, the RNG method. The sites name was in the guide, so I figured I join. Nice to see a bunch of other Final Fantasy fans here too! ^_^ Final Fantasy 12 is definitely one of all time favorites. I seriously love everything about it, the story, the characters, battle system, etc. Of course, I like many other FF's as well, FF8 and FF4 are my 2nd and 3rd favorites.

Well, see you around, and I can't wait to meet you all! This seems like a very friendly community so I'll try and be active alot! ^^
