DragonSLAYER45:
What is your most preferred battle system in the series to date? Please tell me if I forgot any.  For those that don't know which battle system goes to which game:

Traditional Turn-Based - The battle system for Final Fantasy I - III.

Active Time/Dimensional Battle - These are the battle systems for Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X-2, and XII. (XII's is Dimensional Battle, I combined the two since they are very similar)

Command Synergy Battle - The battle system for Final Fantasy XIII.

Real Time Battle - The battle systems for the MMOs, Final Fantasy XI and XIV.

Conditional Turn-Based Battle - The battle system for Final Fantasy X and games in the Final Fantasy Tactics series.

Ally:
I'm actually a fan of the Active Time Battle since it's become almost a Final Fantasy staple. I think I've gotten used to it, Command Synergy comes in second.

Deathgaze:
I don't really have a straight-forward answer. If I had to say, I would say the Active Time Battle. As stated above, I have just gotten too used to it that it's become one of my favorites over the years.

Shadow Gilgamesh:
Active time was my fave, a second would be conditional turn based, i didn't like it in FFX, but i loved it in FFTA and A2

what would you call the battle system for FFXII:Revenant wings? i liked that one too

That's actually the standard RTS-style battle system if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, my favorite was Active Time/Dimension, but I really liked all of them to be honest.
