No.

But I've suddenly remembered that Devil Killer and Fire do him a lot of damage. Having Steiner and Freya equip MP Attack also helps.

Then you should definitely try doing that on your next run :P
For some reason it will cast practically 80% of the status effects for which he's vulnerable >:D
