Title: Good RPG?
Post by: MK Emaster on June 24, 2011, 02:24:13 PM
So I'm deciding to do a video series, anyone know a really cool nut crappy rpg game from the old times? Not a FF game though.

I've never played it but apparently Legend of Mana was a good old RPG

Wow I just searched it up, it looks pretty neat and colorful for an old game, looks like I'm doing this one!

The old Dragon Quest games, Dragon Warrior in the US, have also always been accepted as good RPGs. Chrono Trigger has also left quite a mark on the old school games might be worth checking that one out as well.

i'm a fan of the Lufia series

2 on the SNES, one on GBA, one on GBC, and one DS.

and it's like FF where the games aren't connected.

Seiken Densetsu 3, AKA Secret of Mana 2 for the SNES.  One of the best RPGs for the SNES.  Lufia 2 is also very good, and Terranigma is also another great one.

There are a whole bunch of Squaresoft games on the SNES that never made it to the US or Europe that are amazing games, all of them have English translations now.  I've played every one of them thanks to emulation.

Lagoon is a good rpg for snes, I believe it to be a bit of hidden gem.
