Level 5 announced on twitter:

BREAKING: NI NO KUNI: WRATH OF THE WHITE WITCH will be brought to Europe and North America in 2012 by Namco Bandai!

I know I wasn't the only one worried about Japan importing this

here is the youtube trailer for it

Well, I watched some Ni No Kuni footage for the first time and I have to say, I'm impressed. The game has that Dragon Quest feel in terms of art direction mixed in with a Pokemon feel in terms of the gameplay. I've heard a lot of positive opinions about the gameplay, and I have to agree... it looks amazing.

It still doesn't have an exact release date here in the west, and I hope Namco doesn't change their minds because the game didn't sell well in Japan. This looks too good to miss.

I have a feeling Ni No Kuni will be awesome and just may be genre defining. Having Level-5 develop a deep battle system and Studio Ghibli develop the story, colorful world and epic music seems like a golden combination.

Also, the CG sequences make you feel like you are watching an Ghibli movie in theaters, and that just reminds me a whole lot of Spirited Away.

Ni No Kuni will release in North America this Winter, and Europe will be getting the game sometime in 2013. A Japanese/English dual audio feature has been confirmed for the game in both regions.

Hopefully an E3 showing will help boost sales for this game. I think this will be well worth the wait!

Also, Gamestop has also started doing preorders for this game.

A bit surprised they didn't go with the DS version, but I'm interested.

The release date changed to Early 2013 for all regions. I read that for anyone who has the Japanese version (unless I'm the only one), an All in One Edition will be released in Japan containing all the DLC for this game. Hopefully, there will be a pre-order bonus so the DLC is readily available here in the States and in Europe.

And since it wasn't posted here, check out the first English trailer. The voice acting is quite good:

Here is the E3 2012 trailer, which confirms a January 22, 2013 release date for North America. Europe will be receiving the game on January 25th.

Namco Bandai have confirmed the Wizards Collectors Edition for both North America and Europe. The Wizard's Edition comes with a beefy hardcover artbook designed to resemble the in-game Wizard's Companion, plus a cute little plush of Drippy, Oliver's guide and buddy. Digital items include two exclusive DLC familiars -- "golden mite" and "golden drongo."

It costs $100 but boasts a vast array of goodies well worth the price.

When I first watched the trailer it seemed more of a tv show than a game because there was barely any gameplay.

Do we also know which of the 3 PSN regions is it coming out on (assuing since you've heard of it the US PSN will be one of them), or is this one of those rare times when a demo gets release on all 3 at the same time?

Would love to try the demo. The whole setting of the game hasn't drawn my attention yet, but if the game-play is solid that might change my mind into buying this game.

I took the time to play the demo last night, and it has gotten me to anticipate the game even more. Combat is slightly more complicated than it looks, especially with how the trailers depict it. It might take some time to get used to, but it's still pretty fun.

It's a mix between a real/turn based battle system, with a few sprinkles of Pokemon with the Imajinns you have control over.

The overworld map gave me massive DQ8 flashbacks, which is a very good thing. I wish the demo wasn't timed so I could have explored a bit more, but I'll take what I get. Music is incredibly well done, and the voice acting is pretty good.

There's just so much charm to this game, I don't even know where to begin. It truly does feel like you are playing a Ghibli movie and I have to give props to Namco Bandai for the localization. It's pretty excellent.

It's given me hope that the $100 Wizard's Edition was worth it.

So with less than a week till Ni No Kuni arrives, here's some recent news: the game has been confirmed to be downloadable off of PSN. Although, it has a hefty download size of 19GB. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning to download it.

Unfortunately, it seems that the game has been delayed an extra week in Europe, due to shipping problems. I am fully prepared for this game now. These next few days are going to be killer.

I got an email from Namco saying my order for the Wizards Edition shipped and my card was charged, but on the Club Namco site, it still says boxed shipment. I guess I won't be playing this today.  :'(

I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE.

If anyone has any questions about the game and where to obtain certain items/familiars, feel free to ask me. I'm already done with all of the sidequests and I'm slowly working towards the 250 familiar and 120 alchemy trophies.

is there any fast way of getting scroll of truth?
Title: Re: Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Use this strategy (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/998014-ni-no-kuni-wrath-of-the-white-witch/65357616) of getting a guaranteed steal off any creature.

The superboss also gives a random rare item such as Kaleidostone, Evil Eyes and Scrolls of Truth after you beat him the first time, but its one drop and as I said, it is random out of 6 possible items

It all boils down to luck if you choose the last strategy. I got 3 Scrolls in a row from fighting it, but it took a few more fights to get the final two needed to make a War Gods Axe.
