Final Fantasy XII / Re: Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

*Looks at post history*

Well, to say its been a while would be a massive understatement. Long time no see, all! Just dropping in to say that I've picked up the game, been playing it and the sudden rush of nostalgia has made me want to revisit the site I spent a lot of time on like the good old days. Hoping more people come back to share their experiences with the re-release.

I must say, it feels nice to finally play the International version even if its a little different from IZJS. The small quality of life changes are very noticeable and have made the experience feel... different, compared to playing it on PS2 so long ago. (I only had the chance to play vanilla FF12.)

Ah, as far as job setup goes, its as follows:

Vaan - Shikari/Foebreaker
Balthier - Uhlan/Time Battlemage
Fran - Black Mage/Red Battlemage
Basch - Bushi/Monk
Ashe - Knight/Bushi
Penelo - White Mage/Machinist

To be honest, I did not prep ahead of time because its been years since I last played FF12 (Pretty sure I haven't used my PS2 since 2009...) and since my memory of the game isn't as great as it used to be, I wanted to go in as blind as possible. But I've been having a good time with this setup. Although I've heard there are no bad combinations, just less optimal ones, so that's a relief.

Well, that's all from me for now. I'll try to stop in, give updates and chat over the game like we all used to; but between work, school, my Eorzean life (lol), and other responsibilities... its hard for me to find the time to be as active as I used to be on a forum. But trust me, I will find time as I do miss you all and its been so long. :)

Before I forget, if any of you want, you can add me over PSN. I'll put it down in my signature. (Don't laugh at it! I made it almost 10 years ago. ;_;) I'm usually more active on PS4 compared to my PC as far as gaming goes these days, but it'll be a great way to keep in touch.

Until next time!

Ramuh has finally fallen. Tried Shiva. She seems easy, but the furthest I've gotten was 20%.
In my opinion, Shiva EX is by far the easiest we've gotten so far, but its also a really fun fight. Can even get an i115 weapon from her if you down her five times and have a True Ice weapon on you now.

Has anyone tried this method for farming Atma? Curious to see if it works, but I already have my Gae Bolg Atma and have no other Zenith'ed relics in my inventory. (1.5k mythology books, lol)

Really disappointed with Leviathan "Hard" Mode. For all the hype, he turned out to be easier than Garuda story to be honest. Now to bang my head against Leviathan Extreme for the next few weeks...

I laughed harder than I should have when it showed Caius's past with Yeul...

I've heard that several events occur in the audio drama which pretty much sets the stage for a sequel, not that I would want one though. Final Fantasy X-2 was enough, thank you.

I love the Fuma set for Monks. Best set from Labyrinth of the Ancients imo. The hands and legs go great with the Darklight I have for Monk.

Haven't done the CT stuff yet, or done any of the Beastman daily quests, or even started looking into what's the hubbub about Hildibrand. Been working on my Relic questline for Monk while juggling all the new content in 2.1. I have done the new HM dungeons as well as Pharos Sirius and attempted The Minstrel's Ballad with unpleasant results.

Hoping to jump in Garuda Extreme Mode tomorrow and unlock Good King Moggle Mog. Might save Crystal Tower for last since it involves FATEs. I know they are fixing the timer for them tonight, but I'll just wait till the crowd's die down a bit.

Loving the new look of Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona. Looks like a genuine city now, and a better look for the endgame hub. Duty Roulette is amazing, but the experience is... well, I leveled one level in Conjurer from doing *Sastasha* via the Duty Roulette, and I was barely halfway. That's... um, yeah.

As for class changes, WAR is just beyond OP now. My first experience tanking the new dungeons was pleasant but I need to get adjusted to the changes. Meaning I need to get used to Overpower coming out instantly.

Finally:

This is beyond adorable.

You aren't, sadly.

I think Square Enix should remove a zero from those housing and land prices. Jeez...

Otherwise, 2.1 is looking very awesome indeed.

Among other things, Atlus has announced Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3 due out in Japan by the end of 2014, along with a short promo video:

Get hyped.
