Final Fantasy XIII has at last been released to the public, after three long years of waiting. It will be released in North America, Europe, and Australia on March 9, 2010 on the PLAYSTATION 3 and XBOX360.

Additionally, Final Fantasy VIII, originally released in 1999, has been re-released on PLAYSTATION NETWORK as a PSOne Classic in North America. It costs $9.99 and is available today! It can be downloaded and played on either a PSP or PS3.

Just for the update. Final Fantasy VIII hasn't receive a PEGI rating yet. Which probably means it won't come out on the European PSN Guess they leave us with no choice but to import it from the American PSN if we want to play it

yea, i haven't even beat FF VII yet so ill probably wait before getting this. Besides im trying to save up for FF XIII

PEGI is the European version of ESRB, just like CERO being the Japanese version. In the past European countries used different rating systems, but as of 2003 most countries started using PEGI as the official standard for game.


Okay I can confirm that PEGI has now officially rated the PSN version of Final Fantasy VIII. I don't have an officially confirmed release date yet, but apparently its coming to the European PSN on February the 4^th (2 days after the release of CC: The Crystal Bearers)

I'm very glad to hear this, especially that FFXIII is going to be released for the XBox 360. I heard once that it was PS3 exclusive...

It has been known for a while that it was multi platform (PS3 and Xbox360) in both the USA and Europe. Though it might be confusing since the Japanese version is still a PS3 exclusive.

Well maby you mixed up FFXIII with FFXIII Versus, cuz Versus is a ps3 exclusive.
