Yeah, character development is rather hit and miss until mid to late game.

When the darkness of the Abyss threatens the world, the Phoenix will rise amidst a whirlwind of fire and light.

Whisperer: Sometimes there is a very good reason to fear the dark.

FFXIII

Finished up Palomporum and stopped when it flipped back to Sazh and Vanille

The boss fight with the battleship may be the best thing in the game.

Just attempted the new DLC for XIII-2. It's both challenging and fun.

I will warn anyone who hasn't attempted it yet that you WILL die at least a few times.

When the darkness of the Abyss threatens the world, the Phoenix will rise amidst a whirlwind of fire and light.

Whisperer: Sometimes there is a very good reason to fear the dark.

Got to the bottom of the Arks.

My team is currently Sazh, Snow and Hope, so I decided to be done for the day when they decided to put the three I don't use in for the

Are the 3 guys a good team? I just can't see any advantages over using a setup like Fang/hope/light  :D

Snow is a more defensive version of Fang.

Sazh can behave in a similar fashion to Lightning. He may be slightly weaker but he has access to haste in the early game which is definitely a positive point for him.

Once I got open crystarium I got Sazh cure and dropped Light, otherwise I'd have her in.

I play very defensive so Snow was a better sentinel(and had ravager), and the other two have defensive synergist, Sazh with the bar and Hope with bar/protect/shell, and both have medic now, so that's why I use those three.

Been roaming around Pulse completing missions, some good, some not so good.

Also, I've noticed a couple of cosmetic glitches recently, sometimes when there are two of one type of enemy, it'll show Sazh pointing his guns at one, while the bullets actually go for the intended target. The other is sometimes it'll call steelguard mediguard, the title will say mediguard, but Snow glows yellow, no regen, and damage steadily reduces.

Near the end of XIII-2; last area is rather annoying and I have other stuff to do like racing anyway.

FFXIII - got to the end of chapter 11, only to ragequit when the boss doomed me out with less that 50K HP left(out of his 3mil+)
I want to punch whatever enemy designer decided to give him Doom.
I also hate that Doom is a final word spell in this game, you can't be immune or resistant to it, it's not effected by esuna, you can't even get rid of it with despellga! It kinda made sense for the Eidolon fights, but for anything else to have it, it's just obnoxious.

You are going to love the post-game superbosses. Almost all of them have Doom as a nasty way of saying "Go back and change your strategy."

If his HP was that low, you could have saved your TP for summoning an Eidolon to halt the Doom counter instead of using Dispelga. It won't get rid of it completely as it comes back once your Eidolon is dismissed, but given his low HP total at that point, you should be able to defeat him.

If I had to make a recommendation: If you haven't filled your main Crystarium grids, go back and grind. This boss, no matter if you find it easy or hard, represents a massive difficulty spike that's about to occur in the game's final two chapters.

It's been quite a while, so I could be wrong, but I think Missions 62 and 64 make use of Doom.
