Nothing harms the sheep?
« on: June 18, 2010, 02:12:16 AM »
This sounds like a silly/random thread (and I guess it is).

Gran Pulse, a land where all creatures struggle for survival at every waking moment of the day... Behemoths are at war with giant wolves, and even the monstrous and huge adamantoise have to watch their backs or they will become breakfast for the ENORMOUS Titan...

So how do the little fluffy sheep survive in an environment like that?  Gran Pulse follows survival of the fittest at its most violent, so much so that everything looks really hectic all of the time. Yet the little sheep just hop about, with massive grins on their faces, comfortably baaing at their leisure. At first I thought that they only survive because they hang around by a lake, but I've seen some stood right next to really fierce monsters before. Why don't they get eaten? I mean, if it only takes Vanille yanking a piece of fluffy wool from a sheep to make one cry, then how do they survive on Gran Pulse? Surely with hundreds of powerful monsters roaming around they should have gotten eaten or suffered terribly?

How do you think the sheep survive that no creature (other than Vanille) wants to harm them?

I've never actually thought about that before. I mean, I've seen the little things, hanging around with each other while a behemoth races past them, yet the little things aren't running for the hills being preyed on on anything. Initially I would have said that SE just put them in for a bit of fun or something. It's kind of like an amusing contrast: "OH MY GOD, AN ADAMANTOISE!!! Oh hold on, what's this........a sheep?!" kind of thing. :D

Maybe the other creatures have learned that they don't taste good or something, so they don't bother with them. :P I mean, even animals have sympathy. It would be like baby killing. :P

Easy food is different matter, they don't have to risk their own lives to hunt them.. Maybe that fluffy wool became problem. I don't think any animal actually wants to chew strange hairy fluffy thing with less meat and a lot of fat...

By the way, who know the relationship b/w a fox and a crow?

Well, just because they're cute and adorable doesn't make them harmless. Take Vivi for example, or Tonberry. Maybe there's a genuinely good and terrifying reason the other animals don't pick on the sheep.

Push the button. That's why it's there. If it wasn't meant to be pushed, it wouldn't be a button.

...because if anyone ate the sheep, you wouldn't get any fluffy wool! And if there's no fluffy wool, then Vanille's outfit would have been made out of Adamantoise Hide. :D

Haha, I'm not sure why they dont die. Well, you usually find sheep by the chocobos, and chocobos are friendly, so theres really no thing that will eat them. I mean, if they were right beside an adamantoise, you wouldn't be getting fluffy wool, you'd be getting flatted fluffy wool.

Well, for one thing, they could be ULTRA-EVIL SERVENTS OF EVILINESS that hypnotized the you to think that they are not being attacked. Or they are really invisible. Or the hypnotized the Behemoths and other things making them think that they are ULTRA-EVIL DRAGONS.

aren't the sheep supposed to be like baby Ochus?

maybe the Ochu protect them since the sheep are usually seen hanging around in their general area

Or maybe the sheep just save often so it doesn't matter if they die.

But they dont have opposable thumbs to handle the controller to save. Unless you go with zodiac's idea about them being mind controllers and they would control a human to do it for them...
