So, what i want is to make a video for the www.gameanyone.com site, and as i see, i have some games that have not yet been put there in a walktrough, and as i have never made a video and as i suck on google searches, i wanted to ask here.

first of all, whats the best program for recording videos?

what format must it have, does it even have multiple formats, and so.

Im waiting for your reply, thx.

Hmm what console are the games yo wish to do, And i've added videos to gameanyone myself from youtube and youtube accepts tons of formats but the most common ones used i'd say are .mp4 .wmv and .avi.

Once you say what console the game's are on then it becomes easier to reccomend a recording program.. If it's handheld played on computer it's different to recording from a PS2.

If you wanted to record it from a console then you are going to need a hardware first, if you wish to record a PC game then you can use programs like FRAPS.
Then you are going to need a video editing programs, easy and cheap ones like Windows Movie Maker and more advanced and expensive like Sony Vegas and even After Effects!

lol, i guess people are playing handhelded console games with an emulator on the pc for it. i make PC Games.

well, Windows Movie maker is terrible, always falling off with an "error" when i am making the vid, and isnt really going.

Oh and shadow, can you tell me some pointers about putting things on gameanyone?as ive read the help things, i first need to set them on youtube or what?and also some other pointers about the best record time and so would be nice.

Well unless your a partner or a old director the most time a video can go to is 10:59.

So record as long as you want but make the videos that length, 10:50 to be sure as if you do 10:59:5 so thats 5 milliseconds it rounds to 11:00 and youtube doesn't accept it.

Windows movie maker isn't that bad you know, i use it for my let's plays.

For adding it to gameanyone make sure all your videos for that game are in a single playlist then you go to the game on gameanyone, click add walkthrough then you fill in the details and put in the playlist URL for youtube into the specified box and there you go.
