Nomura planning on "The World Ends with You" sequel

The World Ends With You was an unexpected breakout hit for Square Enix. It was an entirely new franchise and it was certainly not the kind of game Kingdom Hearts creator, Tetsuya Nomura, is known for designing. Since its release, Square fans have been asking for a follow-up game.

It would appear Nomura is keen on developing a follow-up as well.

“I’m really happy that the game was so well received in North America,” Nomura told Nintendo Power in a recent interview with the magazine. “I definitely want to make a sequel. I’m very busy working on other titles right now, but when the time is right, I would love to make another installment of The World Ends with You.”

Don't know why a two year old news topic was bumped, but the keyward here is planning. As stated in the news post, Nomura is still busy with both Kingdom Hearts 3D and Final Fantasy Versus XIII to have any more projects on his plate right now.

So for his sake, and our sake: he hasn't started yet. Just said that he's "interested" in a sequel, and with TWENY characters in KH3D, I imagine it will be made... just not right now.

And be wary of double posting next time.

Haha, I actually thought this was a new news post until I realized this got bumped. XD In any case, Nomura's a busy guy. Yet many of his games still have many people confident in his quality, and if waiting is all we have to do to get that, then I'm perfectly fine with waiting.
