Final Fantasy X HD introduces new half-hour ending
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:07:21 AM »

Square Enix's upcoming HD remaster of Final Fantasy X and X-2 is more than just a simple HD port. The upcoming PS3 and Vita game features vastly improved graphics thanks to new character models and enhanced textures. It's definitely one of the more impressive remasters of the generation.

But wait, there's more! Square Enix has revealed that they plan on adding additional content to the compilation.

According to Siliconera, there will be a new 30 minute "drama" that will play during the compilation's credits sequence. The new sequence is written by Kazushige Nojima, scenario writer for the original games, and will feature newly recorded voices.

There's no clue on what the expanded ending will offer, but it is interesting that Square Enix is making a new ending to Final Fantasy X. Perhaps they are planning on expanding the universe of Spira? Only time will tell when the HD remaster releases sometime this year.

I'm wondering if its really something new. Or if they are just revering to the Eternal Calm epiloge, which will be reworked as an official extra ending to FFX.

Well, they just gave more information on this at the Japan Expo today. It will feature Tidus recalling the events in FFX and X-2, and James Arnold Taylor was at the Expo to confirm that he reprised his role as Tidus. It has already been recorded for both English and Japanese. The audio drama takes place two years after Final Fantasy X-2.

Also the eternal calm was only like 15 mins long...about
