Final Fantasy X HD features remastered soundtrack
« on: July 31, 2013, 08:36:52 PM »

The latest issue of Jump Magazine has a section on the upcoming Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster. The magazine reveals that Final Fantasy X HD’s soundtrack has had about 60 songs remastered — which is about two-thirds of the score. This is in a similar vein to Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX, which had most of the soundtrack remastered and recorded using live instruments.

The soundtrack was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu and Junya Nakano. There has been no word on whether or not Final Fantasy X-2's soundtrack will receive the same treatment.

As expected, both games will also feature trophy support for the PlayStation Network and will include many challenges that will put both new and old players to the test. Let’s hope you haven’t gotten too rusty dodging lightning, playing blitzball, or racing chocobos.

A release date is expected to be announced soon, and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD will be available on PlayStation 3 while the games will be sold separately on PlayStation Vita. You can pre-order the game now from participating retailers to get an exclusive art book.
