List of Crafting Jobs, who is crafting what?
« on: September 07, 2013, 01:18:03 PM »
Since this has been requested by several people, as well as Bossbram, here is a list of Crafting and Harvesting Jobs, and who is crafting. I'd love to keep this updated with the current levels as well as who is mainly doing what crafting/harvesting jobs.

Me personally, I'd do Leatherworker, Carpenter or Weaver as the main focus(preferably one of the first two), as well as Botanist.

I'll probably go for Alchemist and Botanist, it's too bad Square-Enix dumbed down the Disciple of the Land classes, I quite liked the fishing minigame.

you can still fish.

anyway i am doing Armorer and a bit of Mining to get my materials.

Armorer lvl 24 and Mining lvl 10

So far I've been leveling up my alchemist first. Not sure which trade of land I'm going to pick up first, but as far as I can tell most of the alchemist ingredients are from the botanist class.

BTW Yuichan might I suggest using a table (see bottom of your post). Might be harder to fill in, but its far easier to read than all those colors.

I know you can still fish, but the fishing mechanics themselves have been simplified. For example, the choice of bait is relatively the same, but once you start fishing, you simply need to reel in, much like Pokémon's fishing rod mechanics. In 1.0 there was also the option to choose how deep you wanted your lure to be, this affected  which type of fish you would be able to get, along with the fishing location itself. IMO the 1.0 mechanics were somewhat more fun.

for anyone who is seriously attempting to raise a crafting skill, get the following:

Culinarian 15: Hasty Touch(increases quality, no CP cost. Effectiveness 100%, Success Rate: 50%)
Alchemist 15: Tricks of the Trade(increases CP by 20, can only be used when Quality is "Good")
Goldsmith 15: Manipulation(Restores 10 Durability after each step for the next three steps, 86cp cost))
Weaver 15: Careful Syntheses OR Weaver 50: Careful Syn II(Increases Progress, 90% or 125% efficiency, 100% success rate, no cp cost)
