Auron is a playable character in Final Fantasy X. He also appears in Kingdom Hearts II, where he is summoned by Hades to destroy Hercules. Years prior to the game, he was the guardian of High Summoner Braska; the father of Yuna. Alongside them was Jecht, the father of Tidus. He has watched over Tidus for years as a final wish from Jecht.

Auron is one of the strongest characters in the game: having high HP, Strength and Defense stats. He uses "Break" abilities such as Power Break to lower certain stats on foes. His weapons also have the Piercing augment, allowing him to cut down even the toughest enemies with ease. His sphere grid color is red.

Story

Abilities

Auron's main class is similar to that of a Samurai, wielding Katanas in battle. The Piercing augment on his weapons allows him to damage heavily armored fiends with ease. He has High HP, Strength and Defense; but lacks in other stats.

Auron's Sphere Grid Skills

• Power Break: Lower the strength of one foe.
• Guard: Allows the character to take damage for another ally.
• Magic Break: Lower the magic of one foe.
• Threaten: Immobilizes enemy with fear inflicting Stop.
• Armor Break: Lower the defense of one foe.
• Mental Break: Lower the magic defense of one foe.
• Zombie Attack: Inflict Zombie status on one foe.
• Sentinel: Allows the character to take damage for another ally while guarding, lowering damage taken.
• Entrust: Contributes users overdrive gauge to another party member's gauge.

Overdrives

Auron's overdrive name is Bushido.

• Dragon Fang:
  • Obtained: Default
  • Description: Inflicts damage on all enemies.

• Shooting Star:
  • Obtained: Defeat Spherimorph
  • Description: Inflicts damage on one enemy, and a chance of ejecting them out of battle.

• Banishing Blade:
  • Obtained: Find and watch three Jecht Spheres
  • Description: Inflicts damage on one enemy.

• Tornado:
  • Obtained: Find and watch all Jecht spheres.
  • Description: Inflicts heavy damage on all enemies.
