Dissidia Final Fantasy (ディシディア ファイナルファンタジー Dishidia Fainaru Fantajī) is a action RPG fighting game developed as a part of the Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary. The game was released for the PlayStation Portable in Japan on December 18, 2008; which is also the date where the first Final Fantasy was released in Japan. The game was later released in North America on August 25, 2009, Europe on September 4, 2009 and in Australia on September 3, 2009.

The game follows a collection of ten heroes and ten villains from the first ten installments of the Final Fantasy franchise, as well as secret unlockable characters from Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XII. Chaos and the villains have gained the upper hand in the war by seizing control of the ten crystals and now the heroes must recover these crystals and restore Cosmos before the worlds fall to evil.

The prequel to the game: Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, features new characters and arenas as well as the entire campaign of Dissidia: Final Fantasy.
