Final Fantasy Versus XIII(ファイナルファンタジー ヴェルサスXIII) is an upcoming game part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis franchise, along with Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Versus was first shown to the public at E3 2006, and few details have been revealed since then. The game follows Noctis Lucis Caelum, the last heir to the Caelum dynasty who rules the city state that controls the crystals. He then protects the crystal from heretics wishing to take it for themselves.

The game will be directed by Tetsuya Nomura, who is also responsible for his work on the Kingdom Hearts series and has stated that Versus' gameplay will derive from Kingdom Hearts. He has also stated that Final Fantasy Versus XIII may be the darkest Final Fantasy yet. A release date for the game has not been announced.
