A guest is a temporary playable character who join the party during the storyline to aid the player's party. The guests are uncontrollable, and act by their own gambits which cannot be changed as well as their equipment. However, in the International Version of Final Fantasy XII; guests became completely controllable. Guests are very helpful to aid a weak party in leveling-up, since most of them come in with either strong equipments or unlimited healing items. Guest also like other party characters share the obtained experience.

Larsa's Hi/X-Potions

There is a very good strategy to use Larsa when he is in the party in the advantage of the player, whenever a part character's HP is low, Larsa will use his unlimited Hi-Potion or X-Potion's to heal that character. This is very useful for leveling-up in difficult areas, and when battling some optional Espers and Marks (hunts).

List of Guest Characters

There are 2 types of Guests. The first are the guests that join your party. While you are not able to change there settings they will be part of your party, making your gambits interact with these characters. The second type of guests characters can better be described as allied units. Mostly these type of guests will appear on certain locations or quests. While they will help out your party they won't "join" it.
