Tidus is a playable character and the main protagonist of Final Fantasy X. He also makes an appearance in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, fighting on the side of Cosmos opposing Jecht. Tidus name is never spoken in dialog in Final Fantasy X, due to the choice of changing his name. He is a part of the Zanarkand Abes and during a game, Zanarkand was attacked and destroyed by Sin. As a result, Tidus ended up in Spira and now journeys with Yuna and her guardians; trying to find a way to get home.

Tidus also appears in Kingdom Hearts, and is mentioned once in Kingdom Hearts II. Tidus' class is similar to that of a Warrior and a Time Mage. He is able to use time-based magic such as Slow and Haste and he wields a Longsword. His sphere grid color is aqua.

Story

Abilities

Tidus is somewhat a mixture of a Time Mage and a Warrior. He wields basic Longswords and Shields in battle, and is general all-rounder in all stats except for Magic and Magic Defense.

Tidus' Sphere Grid Skills

• Cheer: Raises the party's Strength and Defense
• Flee: Have all party members flee from battle
• Haste: Speeds up actions for one ally.
• Provoke: Draw's target's attacks towards the character.
• Delay Attack: Delays a targets next action. Low chance.
• Slow: Slows down actions for one enemy.
• Slowga: Slows down actions for all enemies.
• Delay Buster: Delays a targets next action. High chance.
• Hastega: Speeds up actions for all party members.
• Quick Hit: Strike quickly with reduced recovery time.

Overdrives

Tidus' overdrive name is called Swordplay.

• Spiral Cut:
  • Obtained: Default
  • Description: Deals damage to one target.

• Slice and Dice:
  • Obtained: Preform 10 Successful Overdrives
  • Description: Deals damage to random foes.

• Energy Rain:
  • Obtained: Preform 30 Successful Overdrives
  • Description: Deals damage to all foes.

• Blitz Ace:
  • Obtained: Preform 80 Successful Overdrives
  • Description: Deals 9 Powerful attacks, and a massive Blitzball attack depending on succeeding or not.
