I've been playing this game lately am must say I'm quite addicted to it =P

However it gets kinda lonely and I was wondering if anyone else here is playing it. I'd be glad to add you and play tons of games.

For those who don't know, the game is pretty much an MMO that is based off a game called DotA.

Heroes I'd recommend (my Main's):
Anivia (really fun and can have some crazy dps late game)
Kog'Maw (AP or AD are good. AD build DESTROYS people (about 140 att + 10% of target's max hp per hit)
Master Yi (if you go AS/AD he just becomes silly)
Twitch (Very hard to use properly)

People from EU can play the US version and vice versa, i used to use Master Yi. Once i got my setup going i'd troll everybody, apart from some of the bulkier characters like Jax or some of the more powerful stealthed character like twitch if he gets setup.

I just bought Ryze and he can be really good if you pump him into mana (as you should)

I also got Katarina. She's alright but I'm not a huge fan. Kog is still my homie and Anivia is my home girl <3

booya for holding out 1v4 with anivia for 15 minutes xD

So people still playing this game? Especially on the EU servers as I'm on those :P

Me and Sixty have been playing a game or two occasionally and as we've been playing we've gathered a few friends from around Europe with whom we play. From the group where usually all on skype and since we are with 3 known people on average it makes the whole game a lot more fun ;D

So should you happen to still be active on the EU server and want to join let me or Sixty know. "Our group" only has a few unwritten rules, but I'll doubt they should be any problem ;)

Our Rules
1) You don't have to be a pro player => As long as you have fun and try your best your welcome.
2) Be a man and finish the game => We never surrender even if our defeat is written in stone. Its no fun when your enemy does it, so why should you.
3) Be on skype => You don't have to, but it makes the game much more fun ;D

You mean while in a game or in-between games?

The later is no problem as your free to come and go. We aren't expecting you to play with the rest when online, it might just be more fun to play with regular people who don't shout at you on a bad day than with random complete strangers ;D

And even the first isn't a big issue if it happens once every while, as long as it doesn't get a habit :P I mean yesterday Sixty had to walk the dog right when he started the game, so I had to cover a lane solo for like 10min. Which considering I had a support character went pretty good :P

I do play EU LoL. I usually use Ahri/Kog'Maw/Irelia. But since I'm still Level 12 I'm still trying to unlock everything I can before getting into some real battles.  The only thing is I don't have a mic to use with Skype but it shouldn't be a problem.

i use Ahri and Sejuani. Most of the time Sejuani, it doesn't matter that you dont have a mic as long as your on skype to hear us. Its fine too. Add me if you want on LoL my name is Sixtynl

It depends based on who I have to face. Usually Solo Top with Irelia, Mid with Ahri and if there's a support bot with Kog'Maw.

Still have to level up and get Tier3 Runes and whatnot...

I'm asking because usually I'll pick up Lux (as full ap) and have to move to whichever lane is available (I'm best in mid with her though). But I'm actually trying to master the way of the support. Which if we have a good ap char in the team is possible :D

I'm really bad at this game. I only played against bots >.<  also, living in my house, you'll need to be flexible, so being occupied for 10/30 minutes isn't going  to work.  I love Annie btw, finishing bots with a tibbers attack is amazing >:D. I always get the upgrates that makes me have like 2000/4000 mana (or was it 200/400) and cooldown speed as low as I can. she cheap to grind gold with in the beginning of a game ;D

You pop up the menu in the lower right corner. And there you have your friends list. From there you know what to push ;)

So I guess we have enough players to make a party and play. I'm sure everyone'd enjoy playing together since randoms most of the time are just flamers.

After experimenting some more with the champs I ended up choosing Riven, Shyvana, Katarina and Karma.

The in-game system of LOL isn't always reliable, definetly on the EU servers it gets messed up quite often (not showing levels, or not even showing people online at all).

Right now I'm on skype though, so if anybody feels like forming a party you know where to find me ;D

I finally am able to Jungle with Sejuani, i dont need the blue pull, but it helps. Ahri was my main, but i focused more on Sejuani lately. My third character right now is Wukong, i tried him out when he was free and i have almost enough points to get him.

If anyone is on today, i will probably be playing it.

Just had my first game of the day, it was laggy. And apparently if you tell someone that you are going to jungle and they say okay, they don't want to solo top. I thought it was a little kid, so i told him what was what and that hey shouldn't try to play with the grownups etc. and i haven't heard him the rest of the match ;D We did lose but at least he wasn't spamming the chat anymore

That new update is causing allot of troubles for most people, Bug splat report is the main problem. I wonder what they are planning to do about it.

Last match i had 5 bug splats before i could start playing.

Yeah it seems that learning at least 3 champs is required to be really useful. I found Alistar to be pretty much a must to learn since it's almost a staple.

Strangely I could play without any flamer/troll and had a nice and peaceful streak of wins :o Though people don't really know what to do or how to play...

Every time when there are no trolls or flamers in the game it seems that I'm always up against or with total noobs who really don't know how to play the game (and believe me when I say I don't easily call somebody a noob) :X

Still managed to score 1 good game yesterday. Got pretty even teams and we basically lost around the 60min mark after failing a team fight around baron. Our team miscommunicated and targeted the enemy tank when rushing in, should say enough I guess :P

And I really need more characters yea. The only reason I'm basically able to play freely is because Lux doesn't seem to be all that popular :D

last week i added Teemo and Twisted Fate to my line up, which means i got 5 characters that i use right now.

When i get home i will update, unless my little brother has already played it today

If your on the purple side and have to top solo, get mid to pull gollems and leave in time so that the solo-er gets extra xp and gold at start.

Got in a match with VediVici but it was horrendous. At 7 min ingame bot lane was feeding so hard it was 0/6 and as a jungler I couldn't make up for the early game and lost. You don't wanna know the final score xD

Nah that doesn't help that much in these situations. I used the fastest route there is with Shyvanna and I was about to gank with Red but I had to run everywhere and the enemy Volibear was unbeatable.

Those intro videos make every champion look like they can own the world, but then when you play him he's just as fragile as the rest of the champs :P

Besides they say that about every new champion, but then after a week or 2 everybody has gotten used to play against them and its suddenly fine :P

thats how it tends to be. best examples for this were release lee sin and yorick, which sucked, so both had to be hotfixbuffed.

Normally you have other stuff to do on a sundaynight so I've used that time to gaining some momentum on FFXIV ::)

I usually do 1 game a day (if I have the time for it) to keep myself in shape, but since usually the cursing words and aggressive language quickly comes into play I loose interest quite fast.

I mean 1 min into the game and team mates are already posting stuff like "wrong runes and masteries?", me answering back "masteries are set to my likings and I don't have the money to buy the right runes for each character". And I stop here as the forums cursing filter would start to make overtime ::)

A lot of champions get nerved, but that only means they have been changed from an unbalanced thread to a balanced thread. I mean look at Irellia. She's been nerved more than once, but she's still one scary champion.

And concerning Annie, she may have been nerved, but you still don't wan't to get caught in a timbers util. Especially when Annie got her stun up. Nope I rather stay out of her range and burst her down as quickly as possible ;D

Annie actually have been buffed quite a lot. She's quite terrifying if she manage to AOE Stun the whole team with her ultimate and she'll burst you down to hell.

Ok here you go.

With these you should be able to understand Kayle at her fullest. There's everything you need to know such as Masteries and Runes.

As for the runes though you should do as everyone suggest to: don't buy runes up until you're level 20 since those are the only runes which effectively give you a huge boost.
Every runes from Tier 1 to 2 are useless and gives little to no help so keep your IP and use them on Champs or just keep on gaining.

Only our AP carrier (Twisted Fate) was decently farmed, but seeming how it was an **** we basically had no chance. Not to speak that my AD carrier wasn't the best either >_>
And I can play as good as I want disrupting both the enemy front and/or backline, but with no good carriers to finish them off the game is already lost :P

The most important thing is finding the 5 members and before rushing into Ranked train in Normal for quite some time.

Everybody need IP for more Runes and experience with more Champs.

I'd enjoy just being able to play normal without having to deal with trolls or feeders with 5 friends.

CLG EU has a good change, but during the last game against Azubu Frost CLG EU really messed up. They where 2 matches ahead on them to eventually lose the next 3 in a row :X

M5 is great team, with awesome players. But don't underestimate the Asian teams. I don't know about you guys, but i haven't seen a game from them yet. They probably surprise us.

Not underestimating them, but don't underestimate M5 either. In playstyle M5 is almost identically to the korean aggression so I wonder how they're going to counter it.

But I guess most people don't know how to play against the korean teams, they are fairly new to begin with. CLG.EU might have an advantage though, having trained in korea as well as placing themselves second in a major korean tournament (as said above they got beaten by Azubu Frost).

Then again these are the top 8 teams, doubt you can write off any of them :P


Kinda hope CLG EU is going to win the bracket though. Always like there matches, and if they can keep up the play the preformed against Dignitas and Saigon Jokers they will win for sure :P


Seems M5 won down the first game. The only other match of today I'm really interesting in is TSM vs Azubu Frost, lets see whether the best American team can beat the best Korean team, will have to see that one in a recap though. Way to late for an European guy to watch live :P

Doesn't look good for CLG.EU. The first game they got beaten in there own farming game and to be honest the start of the second game didn't look in there favour as well.

Seems the matches have been postponed though duo to internet problems. They supposedly used up 5% of all American's bandwidth with the event something which the network wasn't accounted for :P

The AF team seems like to have peeked at the map against TSM and there are multiple pics proving it I don't know how much it changed the game but the behaviour itself can't be allowed.

But during game 2 (when the first dc happened) WE had a really really strong start that could have heavily snowballed into an early victory, so basically they both have lost a game duo to the DC.

Don't think Riot could have predicted this amount though. Its the same thing as during the Olympics where the internet stated to heavily slow down duo to the amount of people posting stuff on social media. It clearly shows our internet network isn't ready for such massive events. I mean I've head them speak about 5% of the total bandwidth. Now I don't remember if it was just the state or America in general, but that's a huge number to be sure. Was actually surprised Twitch could hold up as well ::)

During game 2 WE seemed to have snowballed but there's no way to know they were going to win. CLG Eu already made a comeback while they were losing really hard and managed to win and get back to 1-1. On the other hand at the last DC, they were being stopped a few seconds away from a win (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIKmIMxsq_8).

And Riot really disappointed everyone. If you organize a World Championship with a 1st prize of 1M and Millions of followers everywere you have to prepare differently than to keep re-try playing a game that crashed already 2 times.

They should have stopped trying earlier yea. Would say that the second disconnect should already have been the signal, if not even the first. Don't get it why they hadn't set up a closed local network though, you can easily tape the stream from a local network and stream it live towards the world, that way if the internet itself crashes the local network shouldn't be affected meaning the players themselves can continue playing. That does however mean the rest of the world can't watch the steam live any more.

And the cheating. They've got camera's pointed straight on there faces, so if they really cheated I'm sure somebody will step in. Or people would go as far as to include riot itself in some complot theory :-X

In the end I have to say I hardly care though, all I want are entertaining games and so far I've seen enough crazy plays to have achieved that already.

They've got camera's pointed straight at their faces BUT those only work when the game is going on, all the "peeks" were during the pause called by teams.
The pic shows clearly that he peeked during the pause. And during the pause no one is watching and the webcams are shutdown. Even Dyrus was caught looking at the map during a pause.

Why they just didn't do something like this (https://p.twimg.com/A1kv3rOCYAAOQuu.jpg:large)? No peeking and no ghosting by hearing crowd and commentators.

CLG EU kinda was, but Azubu Frost just showed them again why they lost during the grand Korean tournament as well. As long as CLG EU continues there travels along the world I'm sure we'll see many great things from then during season 3.

And yea I guess M5 just needs to get out of there bubble, so far they've only been active in Europe (except for this tournament). What used to be one of the most aggressive teams now got beaten in there own game by a team who showed to be even more agressive ;D

Still Europe theoretically now holds position 3 & 4 on the world ranking, would say that's pretty impressive. Seeming how most E-sports games are being dominated by south asian teams anyway ;D

From that day you have to prove yourself in ranked team 5vs5, if you want to be chosen on 27 December to participate in a online qualifier tournament for the Season 3 championship series.

So far I really liked what they did with the changes overall.

Also the addition of the new Items add finally more strategy and depth to a metagame that seemed the same every game.

I might try the PBE to see how it turned out. Nevermind signups are till closed...

yeah i agree, and add to that that the jungle has become harder. So as a jungler you have to decide if you early gank with low health or keep on jungling till your stronger

That's not what bugs me. What I don't like of Jungle Rework is that they forced the Jungler to rely on the Hunter's Machete basically, without it you'll end with abysmal times and low HP.

i checked again, and for some reason the servers are still running on EU. When i checked it showed that the servers where down, and now that i checked again they are online but no update.

On the NA servers i already adjusted my Masteries, but i haven't played a game on it yet.

just played a game on the NA server, its really getting used to the new design. tried the new jungle but my NA account is lvl 14 so jungling was a fail with zed. He was free and i don't own my primary jungler yet so. Further then that the boots are really something you have to test out.

Yeah got one to try out new champions Bot games are fine for a first use, but after that you hardly learn from it. I'm only lvl 7 with that account though and usually I end up carrying the game. Not that it are easy games, with a 100% win rate so far I'm only facing people on smurf accounts as well :P

lol, anyway the past is live for real this time. Already tried a custom game Jungle nocturne, it went well. But i think it can be better, so i have to adjust my masteries a bit and maybe Runes. After that choosing the new items, i didn't get the 5 potions i could bring. But i think i need them to clear the Jungle faster.

During those times it doesn't really mather where you champion is. As long as you right click the right target you'll be fine :P


But if I read correctly the patch is now live, so during the next start-up I'll have to reinvent my character builds?

yeah you have to reinvent your character builds. though you get it a bit easier with warding, now that there is an item which is 700 gold can creates wards which you can carry up till 4 and can only use 2 at a time.

and off course the masteries where you get gold when you hit an opponent ;D

Suddenly poking with sona gets a lot more viable :P
Not to forget that the gold from minions has ben slightly reduced to increase the natural gp/10. So overall supports will get a lot more gold. Will miss my best friend the Heart of Gold though, together with the Philo stone they where the best buddy of every support :P

Stating to think the support will end up with the most gold if you do it well :P
Those warding stones are pretty nice indeed, but there only viable so long as the lanning phase hasn't ended. After that its back to staking normal wards as you'll need to be able to light up the map as a christmass tree to keep track of the enemy.

Yeah, and apparently you get a summoner icon, depending on what your gift is. What bothers me though, is that when you want to give someone a skin or champion, you don't see which ones they already have.

Aw man wish I had seen that post.

I got into this game a couple weeks ago, and have been making my way up the levels.
Considering the actual competitive play happens once you've hit the max level, they could have set it lower than 30 ::)

Also interesting, I have the Great Mentor badge right now, which I heard not a lot of people ever get, just because people tend to only get either teamwork honor for doing well, or friendly honor if they did not so well, but were still fun to play with.

They actually lowered the requirements for all the rare ones such as Great Mentor a few patches ago so now far more people have it.

The only legit reason would be the smite grap thus meaning its only viable on thresh or Blitz. And even then you'll have to pull out big during the laning phase to counter the lack of exhaust during the team fighting ::)

Just pick Leona and keep walking in front of your ADC. Then just make sure to punish the opposing ADC whenever Blitz decides to grab you :P

That only forms a problem when I die before the silence is over and if during that time my ADC was sleeping. Because if I'm still alive when the silence/knock-up is over I can just stun lock the ACD carries. And if my ADC wasn't sleeping he should be bashing away on the there ADC to begin with (which should mean its and ADC traded for a support, and that's always a win to the support as he isn't missing out on cs to begin with)  ;)

So as you can see it usually isn't a Blitz that's worrying me :P

Okay so today a new patch came out, Trinket cooldowns are reduced, and some champion buffs and debuffs. Dragon is worth more gold and the towers have gotten an buff that lasts for 420 sec. Feral Flare has been debuffed since it was way too strong. For the full notes:
