If there's one thing you guys have taught me in the past 3 years of playing rpg games...it's this....NOTHING IS RANDOM. Everything happends when it's suppose to.
For those of you watching my FF4 LP....my persistance has FINALLY paid off!!!!!
It seems that I've made a great discovery. If I am not the first to discovery this, then please forgive me. But something like this would have been well known by now, since everbody wants the Pink Tail.
There seems to be a fixed way to encounter the 8 Flan Princesses in the Lunar Ruins. This of course makes getting the Pink Tail a little easier. Even though using a siren in the final level is faster, fighting 8 flans is better than fighting 5.
This all started with me running away from them by mistake in Part 24. That was the first time I ever got this encounter. I looked into this a little deeper, because they started appearing more often after this. I made a discovery while I was playing this in my car on my lunch break....
It seems like the first encounter is rare,( Appears about 30-60 random encounters). However after this, they will appear after 5-6 random battles. This works after 5-7 times, then you must reset(or quick save) and repeat. Why this over siren in the final level?? Because you fight 8 of them.
To prove that this works, I showed multiple un-cut encounters. I hope it works for all versions. I hear there are different versions of FF4 Advanced. Try it out and let me know what you come up with.
So I have no life..I know. Playing my game while driving??? But all my hard work ended with an incredible discovery..and a bonus for my efforts!!
This gives me hope that there may yet be a way to crack rare drops as well.
